Student orientation for MCPHS School of Optometry Class of 2020 began this week, and the MSO was invited to speak in front of the incoming students. MSO President Dr. Matthew Forgues addressed the group, talking about how optometry is a legislated profession, and how important it is to be active and involved with national and state optometric associations.
MSO Executive Director Jay Gardiner also spoke to the students, congratulating them on beginning their training to become frontline healthcare practitioners, and talking how the MSO will help them along that journey. MSO staff were on hand to answer student questions, and talk about the many networking opportunities the MSO will provide to connect students with practicing ODs.
Dr. Forgues, Jay, and the rest of the MSO team look forward to working with MCPHS students on building a strong foundation for the future generation of doctors of optometry
